If you like the idea of having Obituaries/Death Notices, feel free to make your own ning site. They are really easy. and free! The hardest part is the first step, which is thinking up a good name...

i.friendfeed.comIt's Caturday! The best day of the week, when we share pet pics. The cuter or funnier, the better. There are several ways to participate in Caturday!
1) Upload pet pictures, preferably cats, but other pets are okay.
2) Find other peoples Caturday! submissions and share them.
3) Comment when someone submits to Caturday!
4) Splatter a picture of longcat on someones wall

we aim to make sharing content as easy as possible, by eliminating as many impediments as we can. to that end, this site is a bit different than others you may be familiar with.
to fully participate, first browse the groups, and join any that interest you.
next, bookmark this add content page on your computer, for easy access later.
then, when you find something to share, be it a news story, a picture, a video, etc., just go to the bookmarked "add content" page and select a group from the list. enter your submission, and save.
The groups, avatars, and feed on the front page are arranged by newest activity, so whenever content is submitted to a group, the front page changes.
in other words, with a few mouse clicks, a person gets to have a pretty large effect on this web site, giving people a pretty good return on their efforts.
so far, so good, as people seem to be getting comfortable with a simple, worthwhile routine. this place is what we make it.
