Today I went
blogsearch.google.com,
clicked on "advanced search",
Entered "programmable logic controllers" as an "exact phrase" and/or in the title,
adjusted date preference...
Since I have an ongoing interest in the topic,
and think it may be beneficial to the #community as a whole...
I want the search results forwarded... but not necessarily to my private e-mail box, because... well, then it becomes spam...
But rather to public #networks I happen to frequent, where I can read one "meaningful headline" among many and decide to click...
Combined with the feeds from multiple other searches, blogs, aggregators, twitterers, etc, it becomes part of a valuable content stream...
This link will show only the PLC search results, but click the big "
Iowa Arts and Crafts" button there at #friendfeed, and it will collate all the feeds to see what the aggregation looks like...
which in turn feeds onto the front page of this #ning network...
Instead of submitting individual article urls to other aggregators like
reddit.com or
mixx.com or
heavyashell.com,
We can #subscribe to newspapers,
these aggregators, blogs, people
or topics... a more "passive" approach...We don't need to worry about updating tiny networks, to make them #sticky.
The aim is to create
original content on
this network...
The easiest way to do that is to copy and paste the http://... of some good content,
or make intelligent comments about someone else's link...,
This "
How to Become a Hacker" article may be interesting.
Hacking is not a crime. Cracking is.
After that, how about a little
HTML code, the "schematics" of the internet...
this reddit.com shot has a nice "introductory" to
markdown

To see what the code for this (or any) web page looks like, right click and select "view source".
Keep at it and one day you'll know what all that means!
